Commercial snagging

We complete inspections on buildings in the mega-shed, food, pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries. Complete inspections can be undertaken once the project has finished, or sporadic inspections throughout. An example of this is inspecting the internal slab in-situ.

When instructed to inspect the pour, we check the following as a minimum:

• sub-base is correct material to spec, rolled, flat and level
• DPM is laid correctly and joints are taped, any rips to be replaced with fresh sheets
• Armoured joints are correct to spec, in good condition and welds are up to standard
• Reinforcement is correct to spec, laps and cover are compliant
• Concrete mx is correct to spec
• Any water added to concrete is within guidelines and recorded correctly
• Slump tests are taken as required and pass, otherwise concrete load rejected
• cube test samples are taken and are representative of the concrete poured
• Poker and/or vibrating screed is used throughout the pour as required
• Concrete is is consistent, smooth and to spec
• Other checks can be completed as required and arranged, such as under floor heating, drains and ramps
